The OCC represented Spain at the 5th Counter Ransomware Initiative (CRI) Summit, which was held on October 25 in Singapore.

The CRI brought together international representatives from 60 countries, international organizations, and private sector entities, marking the first time it has been held outside the United States. The meeting addressed the issue of ransomware, which has a thriving transnational ecosystem where it is increasingly difficult to locate criminals. This is a serious and growing threat that requires urgent and coordinated international action.  CRI members also endorsed the use of a “Guide for Organizations to Develop Supply Chain Resilience Against Ransomware” to help organizations develop an approach to improving the security of their supply chain against these attacks.
