Committees
- Advise the head of the SES on matters of cybersecurity, disinformation, and cybercrime.
- Carries out the functions of the SES as the cybersecurity authority for operators of essential services identified as critical. These include:
- Acting as the specific communication channel with the national reference Cybersecurity Incident Response Teams (CSIRTs) and, exclusively, with those critical operators.
- Operating the National Platform for Notification and Monitoring of Cyber Incidents.
- Participating, together with INCIBE, in INCIBE-CERT in the management of incidents affecting critical operators.
- Represents the SES within the National Security System on matters of cybersecurity and disinformation.
- Serves as the national point of contact for operational coordination established under Directive 2013/40/EU on attacks against information systems.
- Acts as the Cybersecurity Incident Response Center of the Ministry of the Interior, providing support and coordination to the Judicial Police (CSIRT-MIR-PJ).
- Functions as the Cybercrime Observatory of the Ministry of the Interior, with the aim of preventing and responding to threats related to cybersecurity, cybercrime, and disinformation.
- Develops and coordinates special cybersecurity measures for major events and electoral processes.
- Designs and produces ministerial publications and strategies, such as the current Strategic Plan against Cybercrime.
